Tensile resistance of bolted angle connections in the beam-column joint against progressive collapse

چکیده
• 20 specimens were tested with the observation of five kinds failure modes. Angle thickness, horizontal and vertical bolt pitch affected mode connection. Significant plastic deformation appeared in both legs. The prediction formulas for performance connection are proposed. A mechanical model bolted angle is established verified. In this paper, an experimental study was carried out on under uniaxial tension. design parameters connections include hole distribution, diameter preload. total different modes observed. results showed that all affect positively correlated their ultimate bearing capacity. legs angle. Based corresponding theoretical analysis, a proposed to predict its initial stiffness, capacity verified against other models, terms tensile load-displacement curves. fits better than models.
